Ms. Girod is a dedicated and experienced immigration attorney whose practice focuses on removal defense and litigation, criminal-related immigration matters, bond proceedings, family-based petitions, adjustment of status, waivers of removability, and asylum and related protections for both detained and non-detained individuals. She has represented clients before the Immigration Courts in Baltimore, Richmond, Elizabeth, and Hyattsville, as well as before the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Ms. Girod has successfully handled numerous high-profile and media-laden immigration cases that have garnered national attention. Her ability to navigate complex legal challenges under intense public scrutiny reflects both her legal acumen and her unwavering commitment to immigrant advocacy.

- In 2017, Ms. Girod returned to her passion of immigrant rights as a paralegal at a Boston law firm that specialized in criminal law, immigration removal defense, and immigration benefit applications. There, she managed a voluminous case load, handling matters at the Boston Immigration Court, the National Visa Center, and US Citizenship and Immigration Services before relocating to her home state of Maryland.
